Ana Paula Oliveira bio

Ana Paula Oliveira, born in Campinas Sao Paulo on May 26, 1978. She was on screen in Woman on Top (2000), Sem Fio (2009) as well as A Indomada (1997). Ana Paula Oliveira joined the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime in the month of March, 2020. She is currently an analyst and team leader for GI-TOC Multilateral Engagement. Research conducted by the GITOC is focused on disappearances, assassinations and other forms of violence in the context of illicit economy. Alongside organized crime, her research is focused on the human rights implications as well as human rights law in the international context. Ana Paula holds an LL.M Cum laude in International Law by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. In addition, she has the LL.M in Public Law and an MBA in International Relations from Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro. Ana Paula earned a magnacum honours bachelor's degree Legal and Social Sciences at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is a qualified lawyer, having practised at a law firm focusing on litigating in the public sector for more than four years. Other experiences include helping in roles with non-governmental organisations that are headquartered in Rio de Janeiro and Geneva.
