Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actress who is best well-known for her films in Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and TV. She began her career as an actor in theater and then went on to appear in many television shows, both mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she won critical acclaim as well as numerous nominations and awards, including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. Her first professional performance was as Ariel as Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. Alongside Broadway's Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. With regards to her career in movies the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. Her part as a regular on ABC's drama police series High Incident earned her praises.
